Subject: Recession? SOLUTION. SOPA, PIPA and.. are Capitalists Patriots? In what way?

Hello all,

I wanted to put the following announcement and questions forward, but these other issues require some attention also from everyone that can lend a hand.

1) I believe we have a solution, albeit acceptably Draconian, to the Recession.. which, once implemented will also bolster the global economy by providing a stronger U.S. Economy for the Euro zone and China to.. coexist with..

And because it WILL work.. I'm hoping that our Politicians and Leaders throughout American society will settle on this or something equally workable but less dramatic..  Because simply continuing down the path to 20 years of further recession (which is the rosiest picture presented by economic and financial experts) may not be possible any longer.  At least, that's my hope.

Explanation provided at my web site: www.FreshEyesForOldProblems.com

2) Now, generally speaking, we've all accepted that its necessary to keep our voices of Religion Separated from our tools and weapons of STATE.. although that's come under attack in the past ten years by ambitious "Christian" forces here in the U.S.

But now, in this New Century of a New Millennium, it may finally be time for modern Democracies to recognize that we also must have such a clearly defined and Mandated Separation of BUSINESS from STATE.

Especially when there are those who attempt to Preach sociopathically slippery canons of "Capitalism" as though it were either, or both, a Religion or Form of Government.

Are "Capitalists" Patriots?

"Equity" Capitalists? That buy a "troubled" {or not..} Company for $30mn say, use it as collateral for "leveraged" loans totaling $180mn and then let it Fail.. due to not being able to SERVICE those MASSIVE Loans?  BECAUSE those "Loans" (possibly from ethically compromised sources?) were NOT used to
"turn that business AROUND".. they were used for "Investor" PROFIT.

As I understand happened at least once by Bain Capital.

Which then, of course, could fund an entire LIFETIME of Saintly Business Behavior.  Depending..

What about the "Off shoring" Capitalists? That used their Bought Congre$$ to Maximize their Profits by moving Jobs, and even FACTORIES full of Equipment..  to Labor forces in China and elsewhere..
thereby enriching themselves

while BUILDING THOSE NATIONS INSTEAD OF THE U.S.A.... and causing the U.S. to hemorrhage money even further by continuing to sell their foreign made products to the U.S.Markets?

Now that Dylan Ratigan of MSNBC has a web site that clearly connects all the dots for Americans to understand (www.greedybastards.com), WHAT possible defense can they use?

In order to deny having Chosen to be a "Capitalist" rather than a Patriot?

Especially those running for the Office of the Presidency of the U.S.A.?

3) Now, as to the issue of protecting Intellectual Property and Copyright here in the U.S. of A. and elsewhere.. so that Artists can be paid for their work rather than having it stolen.. while minimizing restrictions on our Freedoms of Speech and Digital communications in general

Isn't there a compromise solution available for the SOPA and PIPA Issues?

If not.. why not?  From my skimming of the text at Reddit and very little elsewhere.. this is not a brand new discussion, yet our technological community has offered no workable alternatives yet?  Are they willing to recognize that there are a few jobs that should be created by each business to investigate the status and character of other web sites and/or businesses before they link to them?

Does our Artist Industry recognize that businesses shouldn't be held accountable for every action taken by customer/users? Assuming that their services do have some legitimate usage.. There are users who "pirate" artistic content for the sole purpose of having done it.. without ever actually taking the time to otherwise enjoy that content.

With any of the millions that have been spent so far.. has anyone discovered whether or not such piracy is actually costing our artists any revenue?  ie; if all potential for piracy is stopped.. will such people actually pay for that content?  Or do they generally pay to see a live performance only after being exposed to pirated content?

Obviously, as a Nation we need to find a way to enforce our laws protecting theft of our intellectual properties. And with all the time that's already been spent discussing these Bills, its curious that no workable alternatives have been found?

Asked how he would change the bill, Beschizza said, "I would kill it, because the whole thing, from the ground up, was designed to interfere with how the Internet works. That's the current kind of solution that the media is approaching, and it can't be fixed. When you approach it from that perspective ... you're only going to be one step away from censorship and all the methods that authoritarian regimes use to keep control of the Internet in less pleasant places than the United States.""I just wish we had been called to the table when this legislation was written," said Ohanian. He said the bill "was clearly written by lobbyists and not technologists."Last year, he said, $94 million was spent lobbying to get the bills made, although he acknowledged bill opponents have also spent millions fighting it.He criticized Congress for failing to address unemployment or the nation's deficit, but "as soon as a lobbyist shows up with $94 million, Democrats and Republicans line up to co-sponsor it. Something is wrong there."In November, tech behemoths such as Google and Facebook lodged a formal complaint letter to lawmakers, saying:
"We support the bills' stated goals. Unfortunately, the bills as drafted would expose law-abiding U.S. Internet and technology companies to new uncertain liabilities (and) mandates that would require monitoring of websites..."

I'm appending an email w/links and video that some may find useful also.

Thanks for reading!

The Truth About Budget Cuts
Whether on the primary trail or in the halls of Congress, Republican leaders keep pushing their budget plan. Cracking Down on Insurance Companies, Protecting Consumers
You probably already know about some of the powerful consumer protections in the Affordable Care Act, but did you know the law also protects the cost and quality of your care? Thanks to rate review, no insurance company can increase your rate by more than 10% unless they can prove that the hike is necessary. And under the 80/20 rule, $0.80 of every dollar must be spent on improving health care quality NOT on administrative costs such as CEO bonuses (AND the 80/20 rule is 85/15 for plans sold to larger businesses!). Those are just two more reasons to support the Affordable Care Act.

Myth of the Moment

Repealing the Affordable Care Act Saves $95 Billion...
Recently, Mitt Romney recycled an old lie that repealing the Affordable Care Act will save $95 billion a year. But, that's simply not true. According to the Congressional Budget Office, repealing the law actually adds $210 billion to the federal deficit over the next 10 years. That's one heck of a whopper from Mr. Romney, and it earns him our myth of the moment for January 2012.
